Bilingual book Ingenieurbaukunst - Engineering Made in Germany has been published
The bilingual book "Ingenieurbaukunst - Engineering Made in Germany" has been published on the occasion of the current German Council Presidency. On Monday, November 9, the new president of the Federal Chamber of Engineers, Dr.-Ing. Heinrich Bökamp, ceremonially handed over the first copy to State Secretary Anne Katrin Bohle of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Homeland Affairs.

New STCO Online-Live-Seminar
In this new series, Ernst & Sohn, in cooperation with ECCS and the Academy of Engineers, presents keynote contributions from current steel construction practice research. New English study book released: “Structural basics: Steel Design 1”
The book “Steel Design 1: Structural Basics” is a well-illustrated, easy introduction to steel structures for buildings according to the Eurocodes EN 1990 (Eurocode 0), EN 1991 (Eurocode 1) and EN 1993 (Eurocode 3). It covers structural safety and common load assumptions, modelling and material properties, major analysis methods as well as code-based design.

As you may have heard from the media, in times of this crisis nursing homes are suffering from supply bottlenecks in medicalcare materials. The “Diakonie-Pflege Verbund Berlin” has 11 wards with over 800 employees. In outpatient and home care, the employees primarily look after older people, who are particularly at risk for the virus.
