About the author
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Girmscheid studierte Bauingenieurwesen an der Technischen Hochschule Darmstadt, wo er 1983 promovierte. Anschliessend war er bei Bilfinger + Berger Bau AG und bei der Walther Bau AG Augsburg tätig. Er wurde 1996 als Professor für Bauprozess- und Bauunternehmensmanagement an das Institut für Bau- und Infrastrukturmanagement der ETH Zürich berufen. Professor Girmscheid leitet als Vorsteher das Institut Bau- und Infrastrukturmanagement und ist Autor weiterer Praxisbücher, wie Angebots- und Ausführungsmanagement, Bauunternehmensmanagement, Leistungsermittlung im Bauprozess, Kalkulation und Kostensteuerung, etc. Weitere Informationen und Literatur findet man unter: www.ibi.ethz.ch und www.cttconsulting.ch .
