Eurosteel 2020 - Call for Abstracts
The organizers are delighted to invite you to submit papers and participate in the 9th Eurosteel conference, to be held in Sheffield in 2020.
Over the past 25 years Eurosteel has become Europe’s major forum for presentation and discussion of a whole range of topics surrounding research, design and construction of steel and composite structures. It attracts academic researchers, designers and fabricators and allows industry and academia to meet and discuss real-world problems where research is needed.
Young researchers will be able to present their findings and discuss them with leading experts in their fields, and generate ideas by interacting with practitioners.
We're particularly interested in proposals from practitioners in design, fabrication and construction, as well as all mainstream research specialities. Invited keynote lectures will cover major themes in current research, as well as the real-world context of current steel construction.
Abstract submission is now open.
Those wishing to make contributions are invited to submit 200-400 word abstracts of papers, either for oral or poster presentation.
Abstracts should clearly indicate the content, and highlight the original contributions of the paper or poster within the themes of the conference. A thematic keyword should be included. Formatting instructions are given on the Abstract Submission web page at eurosteel2020.com
Abstracts and papers will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, for either oral or poster presentation, and for publication in the conference proceedings. Posters will be displayed prominently, and can be presented by authors in a parallel poster session and during specific breaks.
The journal Structures will publish a selection of the key papers, after re-review of an enhanced version, in a special edition after the conference. If you have any queries, please contact the conference organisers on Eurosteel2020@sheffield.ac.uk Professor Ian Burgess Chair of Organising Committee
