Impact Factor and CiteScore 2016
At the start of June, Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters) punctually published the Impact Factors for the Ernst & Sohn scientific journals listed in the journal CitationReport. We could show an increase for most of our journals, with Beton- und Stahlbetonbau (Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Structures) in particular showing a good improvement from 0.425 to 0.691. Congratulations!
A new feature is the CiteScore, another ranking factor assigned by the citing database Scopus (Elsevier). The main difference, among others, is the reference period. While the Impact Factor evaluates the frequency of citing over a period of two years, the time period for CiteScore extends over three years. This reflects the fact that scientific papers are cited over a considerably longer time period in many fields.
