New Version of Structurae Now Online
Since 13 July 2012 www.structurae.de, one of the largest databases for structures of bridge, civil and structural engineering with monthly page views of around one million, is now available in a completely new version.
Structurae offers information about over 63,000 structures from around the world, their history as well as who designed and built them. The new version offers new content along with powerful search functions wrapped in an innovative layout. Using the new research tools, project examples can be found much more easily now. Links between projects and the companies involved as well as their products also provide quick practical help.
Amongst the data displayed are the involved persons, companies, and applied products as well as the historic context. This additional data includes around 150,000 images, 11,000 companies, 60,000 relevant publications, 9,000 persons and 45,000 Internet links. All types of structures are included, e.g. stadia, bridges, tunnels, dams, skyscrapers, towers or other buildings.
This reference is available in three languages (English, French, German) and offers data both for engineers as well as architects, but also for other construction professionals, researchers and educators. Constantly growing, the database is fed by structural engineers, building enthusiasts and photographers alike from around the world. New structures can be submitted easily; each submission is checked, edited and if necessary expanded before publication on the site. For users the content is free of charge.
