Civil engineers call for better conditions for participating in competitions
In a recently published resolution engineers in the construction industry called for improvements in the conditions of participation for engineers when entering competitions.
At the 48th Assembly of the Federal Chamber held in Berlin, delegates voted on a paper in which the engineers demand that all competitions – wherever possible – be held in an interdisciplinary mode. "Regularly the state chambers receive complaints from their members that competions are limited to architects for no apparent reasons", reported Dr.-Ing. Heinrich Schroeter, President of the Bavarian Chamber of Civil Engineers.
