Impact factor and CiteScore 2018 published
In June Clarivate Analytics published the impact factors for the scientific journals of Ernst & Sohn listed in the journal Citation Report. For most of our journals we can report an increase. This provides information on how often an article from the corresponding journal has been cited in other scientific publications over the past two years.
In addition, there is the CiteScore, another ranking factor which is reported by the citation database Scopus (Elsevier). The main difference, there are others, is the reference period, which is 3 years. This takes into account the fact that in many subject areas of science specialist articles are cited over a significantly longer period of time.
Here are the figures for the Ernst & Sohn journals:
IF 2018 | IF 2017 | CiteScore 2018 | CiteScore 2017 | |
Bautechnik | 0,249 | 0,291 | 0,31 | 0,28 |
Bauphysik | 0,233 | 0,202 | 0,23 | 0,19 |

We are particularly pleased about the good results of the journal Steel Construction, which was listed with a CiteScore for the first time. In addition, almost all magazines recorded an increase in value.
