The A26 Linz Motorway is one of the most important projects to improve traffic situation in Linz as well as in the surrounding area of the Upper Austrian state capital. The first section has been under construction since the beginning of 2019 and consists of an approximately 300 m long suspension bridge over the Danube, which will be anchored in the rocky slopes above the Danube, as well as the two underground motorway interchanges Danube North and South with a total tunnel system of approximately 3200 m in length with driving or main tubes and ramps.
