Multi-storeyed buildings in steel and composite construction, roof and wall systems in lightweight steelwork, bridge building
In addition to the development and application of European design and construction codes, the individual lectures will cover trends such as sustainability and eco-balancing of load-bearing structures or the recalculation and repair of existing structures; the results of current research projects are also presented. This includes, for example, the behaviour of railway bridges with ballast track bed, the application of building monitoring for the assessment of existing bridge structures and the use of galvanizing as corrosion protection for bridges with short and medium spans subjected to fatigue.
