This article describes some of the challenges of executing the world's tallest membrane façade to date. The installation of the 16,000 m2 membrane steel structure on the bare concrete shaft up to a height of 246 m deviates significantly from the business as usual in membrane construction. The company Taiyo Europe GmbH has joined forces with its client, Ed. Züblin AG, facing these challenges and breaking new ground in terms of construction technology.
