Title:	Innovative Tragstrukturen aus Glas Ganzglaskugelkalotte - Weltbildkuppel in Augsburg
Abstract:	Geschildert wird am Bauvorhaben Weltbildverlag in Augsburg die Entwicklung von der Idee bis zur Ausführung einer völlig neuen Konstruktionsart. Die Neuerung besteht in der Ausnutzung des Tragverhaltens von Glasscheiben und einer damit verbundenen Konstruktion ohne tragenden Stahlbau. Die Ergebnisse der ausgeführten Ganzglaskugelkalotte mit einem Durchmesser von 12,5 m und einem Stichmaß von 2,50 m, aufgebaut aus Dreieckselementen, zeigen exemplarisch die Schwierigkeiten aber auch die Lösungen der Probleme beim Einsatz von Glas in tragender Funktion.
