Abstract:

Improvement of the existing load carrying system of the gallery in a historic building in Cottbus
The following explanations show, how the load bearing system of the gallery in the town hall of Cottbus could be adjusted to new requirements of utilization by local reinforcements of the gallery's principal girders and load redistribution.
Besides this example demonstrates that an approximate 100 year old reinforce concrete construction can be efficiently improved by elementary measures and in line with the regulations of historic monument protection.
