Abstract: | Oft unterschätzt, stand die bestehende Rheinbrücke Wiesbaden-Schierstein am Wendepunkt vom statischen zum fertigungsgerechten Ingenieurbauwerk. Der Siegerentwurf des Realisierungswettbewerbes 2007 bestätigte die Grundlagen von Entwurf und Ausführung der Jahre 1959 bis 1962 und zieht Schlüsse aus der Unter- und baulichen Erhaltung des bestehenden Bauwerks. Der Aufsatz beschreibt Entstehung des bestehenden Bauwerks, wesentliche Instandsetzungsschritte, die sich daraus ableitende Erfordernis zum Neubau und abschließend dessen Ausschreibungsentwurf. The new Rhine Bridge Wiesbaden-Schierstein, Germany - Competition and Design. The underestimated, existing Rhine Bridge Wiesbaden-Schierstein was the watershed between static and erection optimization. The winner of the design competition in 2007 for a new Rhine Bridge between Wiesbaden and Mainz confirms the basic design and construction ideas of the former engineers. His design gathers experience of maintenance and retrofitting of the older bridge. The article describes the main steps of design, construction and retrofitting of the older bridge, need and tender design of a new bridge. |
