Abstract:	Das rund 250 m lange und 50 m breite Airside Center des Züricher Flughafens verbindet die beiden bestehenden Terminals und Fingerdocks A und B und ersetzt ein Verbindungsbauwerk aus den 70er Jahren. Durch seine augenfällige und prägnante Architektur wird es zum neuen Wahrzeichen des Flughafens Zürich. Überdacht wird das neue Airside Center durch ein fugenloses Raumfachwerk aus Stahlhohlprofilen. Die Hülle des entstehenden Raumes ist auf allen Seiten verglast. Der Beitrag beschreibt den Entwurfsprozeß von der architektonischen Idee hin zur Tragwerksidee, den Tragwerksentwurf, sowie Berechnung und Detaillierung.
