Abstract:	Durch eine komplett verglaste Überdachung des ehemaligen Außenbeckens der Römertherme in Baden bei Wien wurde eine großzügige, transparente Schwimmhalle als Kernstück eines modernen Kurbades geschaffen. Einfache stählerne Hängebänder im Abstand von 1,50 m spannen frei über knapp 30 m und bilden das minimierte und filigrane Tragwerk des Schwimmhallendaches. Über schrägstehende Baumstützen werden die zugbeanspruchten Hängebänder in die Fassadenrichtung umgelenkt und bilden hier die Fassadenprofile, welche über Spannanker im massiven Kellergeschoß rückverankert sind. So entstand eine äußerst transparente Gebäudehülle mit deutlich ablesbarem Kraftfluß.
